David Charles Rodrigues

David is a Greek-American-Brazilian filmmaker and equal rights activist. He’s a Sundance New Frontier and Doc lab fellow. His work leverages art, music and cinematic narratives to trojan-horse challenging messages into people’s hearts and minds. Rodrigues’ short films and commercials have garnered over 1 billion views online and were featured at MOCA Los Angeles, MOCA Tei Pei, The San Jose New Media Biennial, Skirball Cultural Center, The Art Directors Club, Cannes Lions and Art Basel Miami. Gay Chorus Deep South is his feature documentary debut.

Mette Heide

Mette Heide is an award-winning executive producer and owner of +plus pictures ApS, a Danish independent production company producing films and high quality factual television programs for the domestic and international market. She has worked as an executive producer for the past 20 years and has produced more than 50 films. Recent titles include Leslee Udwin’s Peabody winning documentary “India’s Daughter,” Jehane Noujaim’s “Solar Mamas,” part of the Peabody Award-winning series WHY POVERTY?, and Lauren Greenfield’s Sundance-winning “Queen of Versailles.” She is a three-time winner of a Danish Academy Award for best documentary.

Søren Klovborg

Søren Klovborg has more than 20 years of experience as a producer, editor, scriptwriter and consultant. He has one of the strongest profiles in Denmark when it comes to investigative journalism and has been the driving force behind a number of award winning documentaries––uncovering issues like the trade of human organs, the surrogate industry, piracy in Somalia, Mugabe’s hunt on white farmers and many others. Søren Klovborg also has substantial editorial experience: commissioning editor of DR Documentaries for a number of years, head of the Department of Foreign Affairs at DR, head of a weekly strand of foreign affairs documentaries. Søren also works as a scriptwriter and consultant on documentaries supported by the Danish Film Institute. He is a teacher for journalists in Denmark and in the Middle East focusing on investigative journalism, ethics and visual storytelling.

Joakim Demmer

Joakim Demmer was born and grew up in southern Sweden. After studying photography, he began working as a cameraman and film editor in Scandinavia.
From 1995-2001 he studied directing at the German Academy of Film and Television in Berlin. Since his graduation he has been working as a filmmaker and cinematographer in Sweden and Germany.

Philippe Bellaiche

Rachel Leah Jones

Born in Berkeley, California in 1970 and raised between Berkeley and Tel Aviv, Jones is a critically acclaimed documentary filmmaker whose work focuses on Israel/Palestine. She has a BA in Race, Class and Gender Studies and a MFA in Documentary Media Arts. Her directing credits include: 500DUNAM ON THE MOON (2002) commissioned by France Channel 2; ASHKENAZ (2007) commissioned by Israel Channel 8; TARGETED CITIZEN (2010) commissioned by Adalah: the Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel; and GYPSY DAVY (2012) commissioned by Israel Channel 8 (Sundance 2012). In addition to making her own films, Jones has produced extensively with others, e.g. WALL by Simone Bitton (Cannes 2004; Special Jury Prize Sundance 2005) and has been affiliated with progressive media outlets such as DEMOCRACY NOW! in New York.

Jason DaSilva

Jason DaSilva has been a prolific filmmaker for the past 15 years. He has directed four short films (Olivia’s Puzzle, A Song For Daniel, Twins of Mankala, First Steps) and two feature length-documentary films (Lest We Forget and When I Walk). Olivia’s Puzzle premiered at the 2003 Sundance Festival. Three of his films have had national broadcasts on PBS, HBO, and CBC. DaSilva’s latest film, When I Walk, won a 2015 Emmy Award for Outstanding Informational Programming, was an Official Selection of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and won Best Canadian Feature at Hot Docs 2013. In 2014, Jason also won three awards: AAPD Mobility Magazine’s Person of the Year, the Paul E. Hearn Leadership Award, and the Christopher Award for Excellence in Film. Currently he is working on a new feature film When They Walk and on AXS Map, a website and accessibility database to find disability friendly places around the world.
