Her first feature documentary film, THE REST OF US, followed the lives of a group of undocumented youth over an eight year period and was the Closing Night Film at the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival where it also won “Best Picture”. Florencia recently completed her sophomore documentary feature, also on the topic of immigration, SANCTUARY RISING, which has been supported in part by the Berkeley Film Foundation, Mountainfim and the Gotham Film & Media Institute. She is now in pre-production on her third documentary feature film, NOBODY, a continued dive into the dark world of the broken US immigration system. For the past decade, Florencia has directed world-renowned livestream broadcasts and branded content in the Action Sports sector for prolific properties with Bear Grylls, Tough Mudder and the US Open of Surfing. In addition to her work in Sports, she has directed commercials and digital shorts focusing on the stories of underrepresented communities, including campaigns for Doordash, Target and Ebay.
