Tempestad is an emotional, contemplative journey told through the voice-over of two women victimized by their country’s corruption and injustice.

Synopsis

Tempestad is an emotional, contemplative journey told through the voice-over of two women victimized by their country’s corruption and injustice. The film is a meditation on the notion of “impunidad,” the impunity or unaccountability of those in power, whether part of the Mexican government or the country’s drug cartels. Tatiana Huerzo’s poetic piece is steeped not only in loss and pain, but also in love, dignity and resistance.
